Results | Christmas Event 15th Dec

Thanks to all who came out to our Christmas event yesterday. Great turnout under hot Wairarapa sunshine for another fun day, handing out hams, cash and other prizes.

Jock Bourke, Mark McGhie and Henry Borthwick won the big hams for the 3 x 10 DTL events. David Donald won the High Gun for the day. Phil Morrison won the Super Veterans shoot off, after he'd spent a bit of time honing his skills on the long sporting birds.

The long sporting birds was super popular through the day, challenging many to keep trying for the possible of 6/6. By the end of the day Trevor Smith, Keaton Batt and Duncan Sutherland were all on equal top score of 5 out of 6. After a shoot off, Trevor took a chunky cash pool for 1st place. Duncan 2nd and Keaton 3rd.

Through the year, there's a couple of trophies on the line. Peter Borrie won the Warren Kurney cup for Skeet through the year. Mark McGhie won the Silver Pigeon High Gun from the club champs through the year.

Thanks to all in the club for the amount of work putting together some amazing events and series' in 2024, along with our sponsors who have made these series next level. Much appreciation to all who helped yesterday put on a Christmas dinner at end of day. The Club wished everyone best wishes for Christmas and New Years, and hope to see you at Wairarapa Club in 2025.
